at the Youth Hostel Feldberg, Germany

We are a group of young people in AA (YPAA) and Al-Anon, and with the first DACHYPAA, we want to create a platform that brings together Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon members from the entire German-speaking region: 🇩🇪 Germany (D), 🇦🇹 Austria (A), and 🇨🇭 Switzerland (CH). People from all other countries are, of course, also warmly welcome! Meetings will be held in both German and English.

What is DACHYPAA?

🌱 DACH stands for the three German-speaking countries. YPAA means Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous.

🌱 „Young„ does not refer to age—it refers to openness, joy for life, and the desire to grow.
There is no age limit! Whether you are 17 or 70 – if you feel addressed, you are welcome.

🌱 YPAA conventions exist worldwide. With DACHYPAA, we want to create an opportunity for young and young-at-heart people who want to connect outside of big cities.

AA shows: Anyone can get sober, recover, and be part of our worldwide fellowship.

Families are welcome!

Al-Anon is a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength, and hope with each other in order to solve their common problems. Its primary purpose is to help families and friends of alcoholics recover from the effects of someone else's drinking. Al-Anon is based on the Twelve Steps and principles of Alcoholics Anonymous but is a separate and independent program designed specifically for those affected by another person’s alcoholism.

Rules

  • Outside food is not allowed
  • Please do not bring alcohol or drugs
    (There may be other guests at the hostel who drink – we cannot control that)
  • No space for any form of violence, racism, sexism, queerphobia, discrimination, or boundary violations

→ Anyone violating these principles will be asked to leave

Please bring

  • A water bottle for tea/water
  • Your own towels (bed linens are provided)

Pricing

Three Days (Fri–Sun): 135 €
Includes meals, accommodation, and convention pass

Day passes (for the entire weekend): 25 €
Plus cost for additional meals (mandatory):

  • Friday: 10 € (incl. 1 meal)
  • Saturday: 20 € (incl. 2 meals)
  • Sunday: 10 € (incl. 1 meal)

Important!

We can never guarantee that beds will still be available – it applies: while supplies last. Registering early is worth it!

DACHYPAA is a conference by and for young people in recovery, open to anyone interested in a sober way of life.

We believe that no one should miss out because of money – if you can't afford the convention, just send us an email: We need you more than your money!

A.A. Preamble

Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people
who share their experience, strength and hope with each other
that they may solve their common problem
and help others to recover from alcoholism.

The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.

There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership;
we are self-supporting through our own contributions.

A.A. is not allied with any sect, denomination, politics, organization or institution;
does not wish to engage in any controversy,
neither endorses nor opposes any causes.

Our primary purpose is to stay sober
and help other alcoholics to achieve.

Al-Anon Preamble

The Al-Anon Family Groups are a fellowship of relatives and friends of alcoholics who share their experience, strength, and hope in order to solve their common problems. We believe alcoholism is a family illness and that changed attitudes can aid recovery.

Al-Anon is not allied with any sect, denomination, political entity, organization, or institution; does not engage in any controversy; neither endorses nor opposes any cause. There are no dues for membership. Al-Anon is self-supporting through its own voluntary contributions.

Al-Anon has but one purpose: to help families of alcoholics. We do this by practicing the Twelve Steps, by welcoming and giving comfort to families of alcoholics, and by giving understanding and encouragement to the alcoholic.
